  • DESCRIPTION: Signed, inscribed "4 Sandy", and dated in pencil.<br><br> Tom Slaughter 1955-2014. His first exhibition was at the Drawing Center in New York City. With more than 20 solo shows in cities including San Francisco, Miami, London, Vancouver, Cologne, and Fukuoka, Japan. Slaughter had worked with master printer, Jean Russell at Durham Press, creating numerous limited edition screen prints.<br><br> He illustrated twelve children’s books, including “Boat Works,” “Do You Know Which Ones Will Grow?” and collaborations with Marthe Jocelyn such as “ABC x 3,” “Same Same,” and “123.” These books have been translated into six languages. Sadly, he passed away from brain cancer at the age of 59.<br><br>
