DESCRIPTION: A French text edition of the Mercator-Hondius composite map of five West Indian islands. They are Cuba (with inset map of Havannah), Hispaniola, Jamaica, Pureto Rico (titled Ins. S. Joannis), and Margarita. The map is richly embellished with sea monsters and sailing ships.
