  • DESCRIPTION: Fine large scale map of London, prepared to illustrate the limits of the Two-penny postal delivery service around London.<br><br> The map reaches to Hyde Park, Hampstead & Stoke Newington, Blackwall and Camberwell. The orange circle marks the extent of the Two-Penney Post deliveries.<br><br> The map was regularly updated by Cary and can be considered one of the best means for tracking the growth of London in the 1820s to 1840s. Howgego notes 19 states of the map. This being one of the earliest.
