This map shows from Hempstead Harbor eastward to Cold Spring Harbor, including the villages of Glen Cove, Lattingtown, Brookville, Mill Neck, Syosset, Cove Neck, Cold Spring and Woodbury. Inset maps are od the villages of Lattingtown, East Norwich and Oyster Bay Harbor. Many land-owners names and their homes are shown. Nassau County was founded on January 1, 1899 when the towns of North Hempstead, Hempstead and Oyster Bay seceded from Queens to form the new Long Island county.
