DESCRIPTION: A fascinating tourist map of Bangkok dating from circa 1960. This tourist map was printed for the Standard Vacuum Oil Company or, the Mobil Oil Co. Shows the city along with many advertisements for hotels, restaurants, jewelers etc. The map shows the area including the neighborhoods of Khlong San, the Dusit District, Bang Phlat, and more, though some of these neighborhoods are not yet built up. Roads, railway lines, canals, business locations, and attractions are shown and named in Thai and English. Flanked by two numbered keys, noting Government buildings, Embassies, Churches, Wats, Institutions and clubs, Hospitals, Hotels, Restaurants etc, including the locations for Mobilgas stations.
