A handsome map of New York City from the first edition of "Mitchell's New General Atlas, Containing maps of the Various Countries of the World, Plans of Cities, Etc. . . ." Nicely embellished with a ribbon and flower border which includes roses, hibiscus and trumpet vine. This border is unique to the 1st edition. This map show the city from 45th Street southward. Drawn and engraved by W. Williams.
