  • DESCRIPTION: A fun pre-interstate pictorial map of Florida.<br><br> Published by Shell Oil Company and printed by the Rand McNally & Company. The map identifies various roads and highways, town and cities, populations, airports, state parks, national parks, county seats, golf clubs, yacht clubs, points of interest, military reservations etc.. The map is peppered with charming cartoon illustrations of the state's many attractions. There is a "Florida Fishing Chart" with images of the state's various native fish, which appear on the map along the coast, and times when to catch them. Another table locates different types of wild life. The verso contains seven smaller maps, one of the panhandle and cities. These include Tampa and St. Pete, Orlando, Palm Beach, Miami, Miami Beach, Jacksonville and even Cuba. The map also notes ferry service between Key West and Cuba. and a map of the panhandle.<br><br>
