  • DESCRIPTION: A detailed pair of maps these two islands. Plum Island is located just east of Orient Point and is a federally run scientific lab. Fishers Island is east of Plumb Island, across a body of water locally referred to as the Race. Notes building and land owners, lots and structures.<br><br> These two maps were removed from larger map that included parts of Riverhead. Maps of Fisher's Island are very difficult to locate. This map appeared in Hyde's very scarce oversized "Atlas of Suffolk County Long Island, New York... Sound Shore.”
