• DESCRIPTION: A good example of a scarce separately issued map of Albany.<br><br> This map was likely issued as a guide to visitors of New York's capital city. Joel Muncell (1808-1880) was the leading printer, publisher and book seller in the city for much of the 19th century. He was also a noted antiquarian and author publishing "Chronology of the Origin and Progress of Paper and Papermaking" in 1856.

• ADDITIONAL INFO: Retains original cloth hand covers with the gold embossed title of Albany.

• CONDITION: Good condition save for some minor acid burning from the covers. Original hand coloring.
