DESCRIPTION: John Sloan experimented with lithography printing a handful of images. There are two states of this image, the first shows a messy edge on the right hand side, the second state that edge was cleaned up as is evident in this print. Two notes on edition size one 20 and one 10. Printed by Moellmann and John Sloan.<BR><BR> "I took a walk along the river as far as the upper Cunard pier where the big liner Lusitania is docked. Men and boys are selling postcards of the big boat to the people who came down to look at her. A right interesting sight to watch the small crowd on the street and the big boat back then." <BR> John Sloan May 24, 1908.
