  • DESCRIPTION: A birds-eye view of the harbor, the U. S. Naval Academy is shown in the lower left, Horn Point in the center right, Kent Island is identified in the far background. Greenberry Point Light is shown as well as a large assortment of naval and merchant vessels, many of which are identified. Several forts are identified, Fort Madison; Fort Nonsence and Fort Severn. Fort Severn is on the Naval Academy grounds. Signed and dated in the lower left, "Drawn by T. A. Makibbin Oct 20 1861." We can not locate any information on T.A. Makibbin.

  • CONDITION: Fair condition. This piece was a one time folded, there are stains along a vertical fold in the center. There are small losses of paper around the edges which does affect the image. One area of loss affects a building at the Naval Academy.
