A good example of this map that was made from the "topographical observations" of Claude Joseph Sauthier and Bernard Ratzer. Areas and towns along the rivers are well delineated. When this map was made, New York State claimed all the area that is now Vermont. On the Connecticut River towns such as Lebanon, Hanover, Lime are noted. It may be the first engraved mention on a map of Dartmouth College. Illustrated in Nebenzahl's "Atlas of the American Revolution" Map No. 37, pp. 158-60. Maps
