Letter dated December 20, 1929, with drawing to Mrs. Whitmore who ran a gallery in Hingham, Mass. Text in the letter "Thanks so much for your various nice notes, the Fishercats so black and tall and haughty and for the bother of digging out my 1928 earnings. Your mail will prove to you that I have been taking off a few of the days that are left before sailing to turn out, grind out, various Christmas cards, for the Joannes, Tili and for myself (Frances had to be content with some sort of mimiograph, or whatever you call the machine that multiplies letters). And to-morrow I shall start printing for you and Harlow. And after Christmas, after the mailing rush, I will return your loan collection."Initialed "AS" in red pencil. 20th Century Subjects, Drawings And Watercolors, Foreign Views
