  • DESCRIPTION: A group of men, presumably merchants by their ethnic diversity, gather in the foreground. The two seated on the ground appear to be playing some sort of game. Each has a bag in their hand, and the figure on the far right has just tossed a coin-sized object onto the fabric laid on the ground. <br><br> This scene is likely set in Northern Africa, where Eby and his wife traveled in 1921. Eby produced several prints of the region in the years that followed.
