Publisher : Transfer drawing.Titled and dated in pencil on lower right. Inscribed "Notes- All possible texture in steps; line of eyebrows of Virgin should turn up; A graet deal of texture in brick of central motive. Get bricks of chimney very irregular." This drawing came directly from the Estate of John Taylor Arms. Being transfer drawings means these drawings were used to create the copper plate that printed the etching. As any object that is used in this fashion, they often have a variety of condition issues.
