DESCRIPTION: A fine small engraved view of the walled city of Bethune, France. On two sides is a German text description of the city and key. Gabriel Bodenehr the Elder (c. 1664-1758) was a Swiss artist who worked in Augsburg. He created many topographical views and plans of European and North African cities. Many were gathered under the overall title Le Gloire et la Force de l'Europe.
