DESCRIPTION: A beautifully engraved map depicting the Battle of Turin that took place on September 7, 1706, during the War of the Spanish Succession. Featured prominently is the citadel of Turin. Gabriel Bodenehr the Elder (c. 1664-1758) was a Swiss artist who worked in Augsburg. He created many topographical views and plans of European and North African cities. Many were gathered under the overall title Le Gloire et la Force de l'Europe.
