ADDITIONAL INFO: Srimati was a dancer in her youth and gave her first public recital at the age of 7. She danced for Gandiji and Kasturba and sang bhajans (devotional songs) at his prayer meetings in Madras in 1936. Part of her life's work was to express the unity of the arts. Many of her paintings have a lyrical quality exemplified by this dance pose.
CONDITION: Good condition. Some mild toning on verso.
