• DESCRIPTION: From "A Monograph of the Lories or Brush-Tongued Parrots" by St. George Mivart. Keulemans was among the finest ornithological artists of the latter 19th-century. He was prolific and in great demand among scientists who wanted him to illustrate their works. In almost every case his drawings are highly accurate and detailed, usually set in an appropriate landscape background.
