By Chester Wolverton. The maps from this atlas are quite scarce and are seldom seen on the market. Nassau County was established on January 1, 1899 when the towns of North Hempstead, Hempstead and Oyster Bay seceded from Queens to form the new Long Island County. Notes many land owners names. Drawn on a scale of 300 feet to the inch.
