Richard Carleton

Richard Carleton is a painter and printmaker based in New Haven, Connecticut, where he maintains an active studio. For more than thirty years, his work including paintings, prints, and etchings has been widely exhibited throughout New York and New England. His imagery often explores portraiture and landscape, subjects he has pursued through both private and commissioned projects.

Carleton is a graduate of the Boston University School of Fine Arts and the Rhode Island School of Design. He also pursued post-graduate study in New York with master printer Nancy Brokoff. In addition to his own creative practice, he has completed numerous etching editioning commissions. His work is held in private and corporate art collections. He is a member of the Society of American Graphic Artists, the Boston Printmakers, and the California Society of Printmakers.
