John H. Clark

John Heaviside Clark was a British painter and engraver, active in London from 1802 to 1832. Between 1812 and 1832, he exhibited at the Royal Academy. mostly maritime subjects and landscapes. He was known for sketches he made on site after the battle of Waterloo. These scenes were published as aquatints in 1816 in collaboration with aquatintist Matthew Dubourg.
