Mary Gehr was an American painter, printmaker and illustrator from Chicago, Illinois. Gehr also had a passion for dance and worked with the Chicago Opera Ballet and Page-Stone Ballet Company for a number of years. She was featured in more than 50 solo exhibitions around the world and illustrated around two dozen children's books during her lifetime.
