Humphrey Phelps

Humphrey Phelps was an American cartographer in the 19th century, working out of New York City. He produced a number of maps and plans of the city in the two decades leading up to the American Civil War. His "Ornamental Map of the United States & Mexico" was published in various different formats (the decorative boarder varied from publisher to publisher).
