  • DESCRIPTION: This chromolithograph depicts three types of dandelion and is taken from Anne Pratt's magnum opus, "The Flowering Plants, Grasses, Sedges, and Ferns of Great Britain and Their Allies the Club Mosses, Pepperworts, and Horsetails." Spanning six volumes and covering over 1500 species with 300 illustrations, this extensive project was published over a decade from 1855 to 1873. Pratt's work became a foundational botanical reference and was used well into the mid-20th century.
