This was the German edition of Catlin’s Letters and Notes on the Manners, Customs and Condition of the North American Indians. Published by Carl Muquardt, Brussels, Leipzig and Gent, 1851. The lithographs are adapted from those in Catlin’s own Letters and especially in his large 1840s portfolio.
