DESCRIPTION: A view of the Grand Canal in Venice with Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, otherwise known as the Salute, on the right. The basilica was commissioned in 1630 in hopes that the Madonna would spare them from the Black Death that was sweeping through the city.<br><br>
ADDITIONAL INFO: Signed in pencil. Printed on vellum. Rapier hilt enscribed in the center of lower margin.
CONDITION: Good condition, rippling in the vellum.
