DESCRIPTION: A sports illustration that has some satirical and humorous tones, especially about the rain. One of the drawings depict Phil Edwards running the 880, in which he won the first place in 1934 in the British Empire Games (now called the Commonwealth Games). He was the first black Canadian to win a trophy at the games and was also an Olympic medalist.
