  • DESCRIPTION: "Nath Hone pinxit. R Earlom sculpsit." Charles Wray was a bookkeeper at Hoare’s Bank, in Fleet-street, for over 50 years. Died, 28th Jan., 1791. It is interesting to note that Nathaniel Hone was born in 1718 - one of the numbers in the math problem the sitter is solving. The other number he is subtracting from is 1780.
