Bruxelles & Leipzig: Librairie C. Muquardt, Merzbach et Falk Succrs, 1884. This finely hand-colored plate shows the “variegated glouteron” moth depicted on wild chicory (Cichorium intybus), presented in multiple stages of its life cycle. The Dubois father-and-son collaboration emphasized accuracy from life, pairing careful drawings of larvae, pupae, and adults with their host plants, creating one of the most detailed regional surveys of Belgian lepidoptera in the 19th century.
