Se vend a Londres chez Thom Hart." This is a French version, issued in 1777, of the Hart engraving. Portrait is half-length, depicting Arnold in uniform and hat, head to the right. The portrait is set in an oval border, set into a rectangular engraved frame. Arnold was a major figure in the American Revolution, notorious for engaging in an act of betrayal and defecting to the British Army.
