  • DESCRIPTION: From an original picture in the Possession of Her. Smith Esqr. Mezzotinted by Corbut. London, printed for Robt. Sayer, Map & Printseller, at No.53 in Fleet Street. -- On September 12 and 13th 1759, the English Major General Wolfe, at the age of 31, attempted to take Quebec from the French. In the ensuing battle both he and Marquis de Montcalm (the French commander) lost their lives.
