DESCRIPTION: From "Figures of the Most Beautiful...plants described in the Gardeners Dictionary" by Philip Miller. Engraved by T. Jefferys. The series was originally published, in two volumes, between 1755 and 1760. Other editions being published in 1771 and 1809.<br><br> An alternate spelling of the plant's name is Lady's Mantle. Alchemilla's medicinal traits include being a styptic and an astringent, making it a prized herb back in day. It is used less in modern times, but it has hardly been forgotten.
