R. Lancake delin. J.S. Miller sculp. From "Figures of the Most Beautiful...plants described in the Gardeners Dictionary" by Philip Miller. The series was originally published, in two volumes, between 1755 and 1760. Other editions being published in 1771 and 1809.

The fruit produced by the Date Plum are edible, both raw and in cooked form. It's preferable to harvest them after a frost, as it enhances the flavor.
