Gold! for thee, I would sell my native Spain, as freely as I would plunder Peru." <br><br> This satirical piece pokes fun at the Spanish conquistador Pizzaro and his lust for gold. In the mid-ground, on the left, is a religious pillar representing Spain. On the right is a fruit bearing tree, which is likely a representation of Peru. In the background is a mountain with a mine at its base.
