Daniel Morgan (1736-1802) was an American pioneer, soldier (eventually attaining the rank of Major General), and U.S. Representative from Virginia. He served with distinction during the Revolutionary War and during the Whiskey Rebellion of 1791-94. He is remembered as being one of the great tacticians of the time.
