• DESCRIPTION: The Pequot War (1634-1638) was fought between the Pequot Indian tribe and American colonists with their Indian allies. The Pequot's lost, ill prepared for English sytled warfare, and their people were virtually exterminated. Those who survived and did not find escape were either sold or given to other Indian tribes as slaves.
