Hendricks. The anti-monopoly Greenbacks and the Prohibition Party also ran candidates though neither drew any electoral votes. The election saw a Democrat win the White House for the first time since 1856. Cleveland and Hendricks received 219 electoral votes to Blaine and Logan’s 182.
