DESCRIPTION: Signed, titled, and dated in pencil. <BR><BR> St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, commonly known as St. Bart's, is located at 325 Park Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets. <br><br> The current church was designed by Bertram Goodhue in a Byzantine Revival design. The congregation moved to this site from Madison Avenue and 44th Street, but kept the beloved bronze doors, which Goodhue designed into the new building. The Church was built between 1916-17, but not fully completed with the Community House until 1930. The church was first used in 1918 and officially consecrated on May 1, 1923. <BR><BR> It is one of the most beautiful churches in New York City.
