Okey Fecit.<br><br> Important small colonial era portrait. <br><br>Thomas Hiscox (1686-1773), a Newport native, served as pastor of the Seventh Day Baptist Congregation in Westerly, RI.<br><br> little is known of the publishers, Charles Reak & Samuel Okey. They advertised themselves as printsellers and stationers. Okey was an engraver and produced several mezzotint portraits, the most notable being Samuel Adams.<br>All of portraits that they produced are rarely seen on the market.

  • CONDITION: Good condition. Trimmed to plate line on sides on the sides, some soft rubbing in the image.
