DESCRIPTION: Quad folded leather bound soft covered book with 135 of 136 illustrations of fruits, berry's shrubs and trees. Title of outer cover, Choice Michigan Fruits. This salesman's sample book features four separate compartments each with eight lithographs of fruits, vegetable, flowering plants and trees. The line of four illustrations are bound together by ribbon. To flip through the samples, grasp the outer ribbons on each side and flip the lithographs to reveal the next row of samples. All individual plates are marked Rochester Lithographing Company, Rochester, New York. All prints printed by Rochester Lithographic Co. Rochester NY.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
CONDITION: Heavy wear to cover with missing clasp, missing leather, soiling, rubbed edges and bumped corners; chipping, tears, material loss and discoloration to plates; separation to several cards. Occasional image loss or transfer and on the last page the last four plates are in very poor condition with one basically gone.
