DESCRIPTION: William D. Turner (1839-1905) ran for the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1883 which is likely what this broadside was made for. He was born in Quincy Illinois on June 1, 1836 and served int he Union Army during the Civil War. He later moved to Spokane, Washington then to Bozeman, Montana where he was president of the Yellowstone Park railway, founded in 1899. He died in Los Angeles on April 2, 1905.
