  • DESCRIPTION: An 18th-century engraving titled "View of Bunker's Hill," based on a drawing in the possession of the Rev. Mr. Elderton. This view appeared in the February 1790 edition of the Gentleman's Magazine.<br><br> The magazine describes the view as follows: "Mr. Urban, I send you a very accurate and pretty drawing of Bunker's Hill, with the encampments of Generals Howe and Clinton; and Charles Town, as it appeared after being burnt by our troops; the river Mystic, and North end of the town of Boston... The drawing is by an officer who was in the 22nd regiment at the time." - J. Elderton.
