DESCRIPTION: Painted by Heine J. Kummer & Dopler. Engraved by Himley. A beautiful natural view of the city that was likely made from an actual balloon that was likely tethered to Governor's Island. The Battery is still shown in the water, by 1857 it had been filled in.

CONDITION: Fair condition. water stains in upper margin, repaired tear in left margin into image, and right margin has been cut to 1 1/2" margin.
