DESCRIPTION: 19th-century perspective of Louisville, Kentucky, captured as a steel engraving and handcolored to highlight the details, circa 1859 and states that the view is taken from the mouth of Beargrass Creek at Preston's Landing. The image shows horse-drawn carriages, people going about their day, smoke coming from chimneys, and smoke stacks of buildings and boats.
