This particular engraving presents a view of Mount Vernon’s west front, capturing the grandeur and neoclassical symmetry of George Washington’s estate. Printed with the number “47” in the upper-right corner and signed “P. Fumagalli f.” in the lower-right, the image reflects Ferrario’s dedication to historical and geographical illustration. As the founder of the Società Tipografica de’ Classici Italiani and director of the Braidense National Library in Milan, Ferrario played a crucial role in curating visual representations of world heritage.
