Yeager, No. 103 Race Street, Philadelphia, [Nov. 14, 1816]. <BR><BR> One of the earliest and certainly among the most graphic views of the Battle of New Orleans. It depicts the battle from the British perspective, with the mortally-wounded British General Pakenham in the foreground surrounded by his staff. Behind, the British troops are shown storming the American redoubt. The lower margin features a half-length cameo portrait of Jackson flanked by American flags and implements of war.<BR><BR> This is the second state of the print per the AAS, with General Lambert in foreground weeping into a handkerchief but the address in the imprint line changed to “103 Race St.”
