  • DESCRIPTION: A nice example of John Senex’s map of the Americas. This map is unusual for the period as Senex adds a conjectural northwest coastline including a several loosely defined islands and lakes. California is shown as an island. Also of note is an unusual river originating in the Florida pan handle that heads northward into current day South Carolina.

  • ADDITIONAL INFO: Nicely framed in a 1 3/4" gold compo molding with gilt edges mat. Overall framed size 28.75 x 31.5 inches

  • CONDITION: Good condition save for moderate mat line surrounding the image. Original outline coloring
