Bowen's Lithographic Establishment No. .94 Walnut St.<br><br> In 1804 Sha-Ha-Ka (or "Big White') received Lewis and Clark upon their arrival to his village on the upper Missouri. The Mandan chief was to prove to be a worthy ally to the pair. On their return trip, Sha-Ha-Ka accompanied them back to Washington, where in December of 1806 he met President Thomas Jefferson.
