DESCRIPTION: A beautiful aquatint satirical engraving depicting a scene on North Parade Street in the town of Bath, England. It is satirising the "high" society at Bath. A gouty old man in a chair eyeing up a young lady being chaperoned by an old lady. A beautiful young lady accompanies a lean older man, but looks wistfully back at the young gentleman pushing the wheelchair. It has been suggested that the artist of this is Humphrey Repton.
